A LITTLE ABOUT ME…

Hello! I'm thrilled to share my journey with you. Born and raised on the north side of Lansing, I graduated from Eastern High School and spent my childhood attending Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. From a young age, I have always had a deep love for animals. Over the years, I've had the joy of caring for a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, hamsters, birds, chinchillas, snakes, and even a mouse.

My passion for animals naturally led me to start making dog treats. While it wasn't something I did regularly at first, the 2020 shift to more home-based activities reignited my interest in baking. It all began with a neighbor who had picky dogs. She often gave me their leftover treats, which inspired me to pull out my old doggy cookbook and whip up a batch. To my delight, her dogs loved them! From that moment, I started sharing my homemade treats with my own dogs and neighbors.

Catching COVID changed my life goals and career path. It made me refocus and reevaluate how I could serve the community while doing something I love. With the knowledge and experience of what it takes to run a business, thanks to my entrepreneurial parents, I felt that starting my own dog treat business would offer the flexibility and fulfillment I was seeking.

After spending some time pondering this new direction, a call from a good friend set things in motion. They requested two hundred dog treats for a church event, and that was the catalyst I needed. My husband, Lyle, and I, along with the support of family and friends, began researching, analyzing the market, and developing a product that we knew would be in demand.

Today, our mission is to expand our menu and specialize in the culinary needs of pets. We are dedicated to customizing ingredients and textures to cater to pets of all ages. In the next two to three years, we plan to branch out to cat treats and diet-specific dog food, ensuring that we continue to meet the diverse needs of our beloved pets.
